This is one of the oldest Seminole Freedmen burial sites. In one of the gravesites lie the remains of Negro Abraham, the Black Seminole leader from Florida who was a leader among the Seminoles who settled in Indian Territory in the late 1830s and 40s. This burial ground was documented by Charles Gibson.
