African American Interviews from
the Oklahoma Indian Pioneer Project
This page will reflect interviews of Black Indians from the Oklahoma Pioneer Project. Over 100 volumes of interviews of early Oklahoma and Indian Territory citizens were made, of people white, black and Indian. This page will highlight the interviews pertaining to the Freedmen, which shall reflect a glimpse of the lives of the 19th century African-ancestored residents of Indian Territory.
